Our culinary tour begins with an aromatic greek coffee and the classic Thessaloniki breakfast pastry: bugatsa.
First, we will get introduced to the local food scene and learn how its diverse cross-cultural background has influenced current flavors.
Then we will wander around the city’s food markets, delis and hidden gems and savor local products while meeting the people behind.
Tastings include olive varieties, olive oil tasting, a variety of cheeses and cold cuts, halva and spoon sweets like your grandma would make, fermented local bites, and of course greek spices and herbs!
Finally, our small-group will enjoy tasty meze dishes like soutzoukakia meatballs, local pies etc, and have the chance to chat with a local !
